  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 0.5 cup tequila
  • 0.25 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.25 cup triple sec
  • 0.125 cup simple syrup adjust to taste
  • ice cubes if needed for consistency

Garnish (Optional)

  • lime wedges
  • strawberry slices
  • salt or sugar for rimming the glasses

Preparation Steps

  • If rimming the glasses, rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge and dip into salt or sugar. Set aside.
  • In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice cubes if a thicker consistency is desired.
  • Blend until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if needed.
  • Pour the strawberry margarita into the prepared glasses.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a strawberry slice, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe is easily adaptable. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and triple sec and add more lime juice and a splash of water or club soda.
