Preparation Steps

  • Rinse the wild rice under cold water.
  • Combine the wild rice and chicken broth in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  • While the rice is cooking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pecans and cook until lightly toasted.
  • Once the rice is cooked, stir in the toasted pecans, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve warm.
