Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Bake the crust for 15-18 minutes, or until lightly golden.
For the topping: In a separate bowl, whisk together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Pour the topping mixture evenly over the partially baked crust.
Bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is set and golden brown.
Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
