  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces marshmallows
  • 6 cups rice krispie cereal
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the peanut butter until well combined.
  • Add the Rice Krispie cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, dividing it evenly among the 12 cups.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each Rice Krispie cup.
  • Let the cups set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  • Carefully remove the cups from the muffin tin.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
