Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour and yogurt, mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
Punch down the dough and divide it into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into an oval shape.
Cook on a hot griddle or baking sheet for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Brush with melted butter while still warm.
Notes
Serve warm with your favorite curry or stew.
