  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2.25 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup melted butter

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add salt and flour; mix until a soft dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan.
  • In a bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  • Punch down dough and roll it into a 1-inch thick rope. Cut the rope into 1-inch pieces.
  • Roll each dough piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place it in the bundt pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.

Notes

Serve warm with a cup of coffee or tea.
