  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
