  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
