  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Stir in rice and cook for 1 minute, until lightly toasted.
  • Add water, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked through.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley or chives before serving.
