  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add oil, eggs, and vanilla; beat until well combined.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar until coated.
  • Place balls onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
