Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add potatoes, milk, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
Pour potato mixture into a greased casserole dish. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
