Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  • If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are naturally sweetened by the bananas and can be customized with your favorite add-ins like nuts or dried fruit.
