  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add salt, oil, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Top with sliced apples.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls. Place in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with a glaze or cream cheese frosting.
